Barbara Ellen Henry, 46, passed away peacefully on November 24th 2008 at St. James Cottage Hospice with her family by her side, after a short but courageous battle with Cancer. Born November 18 1962, she was the eldest of 4 children. Barb was a fearless and unforgettable woman - always capable of succeeding at anything she put her heart into. Her greatest accomplishment to date was being a mentor and friend to the less fortunate Downtown Eastside residents. Left to cherish her memory is her loving companion John, ex-husband Dwayne, 3 children Dean, Jhanine and Dareck, and 6 grandchildren. She is further survived by her mother Judith, 2 sisters Shawn and Teresa and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Milton McKay, and her brother Douglas McKay. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 2pm at All-Saints Anglican Church 4755 Arthur Drive, Delta BC. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be sent to The Downtown Eastside Womens Centre.
